The workbench is free. The engines are the licence.

Community has no time limit. A licence adds Patok’s engines, private projects and commercial use — and it is yours: a one-time payment, updates for twelve months, and the version you installed keeps working after that.

What a licence means, in plain words.

What does “perpetual” mean here?
A version you licensed keeps working, for as long as you keep it installed. Updates arrive for twelve months; a newer build released outside your update window runs as Community and shows a link to the last version your licence covers, which stays downloadable.
Will a perpetual licence be converted into a subscription later?
No. We never convert a perpetual licence. If you want the next twelve months of updates, that is a new purchase you decide on; if you do not, nothing changes on your machine.
What is a “public project”?
A Community project is stored in your Patok account, visible in Explore and remixable by others. Its public engineering data and traces may be used to improve Patok’s tools. You keep ownership of the work. This is disclosed on screen when you create a Community project, before anything is uploaded.
What does air-gapped mean in practice?
Zero egress. The app makes no network call at all: no sync, no licence check-in, no update notice, no model download. Models come in from disk or USB, and the licence token is verified offline.
Do I need an account to use Patok Lab?
Not to install or to work. An account is needed to sync Community projects, to publish, and to hold a licence seat. Sign-in is an e-mail link; there is no password.
